This inbox goes directly to Michael. If you are a parent in the middle of something bad and you need a human to read what happened to you, write. You will get a real reply from a real human, not a drip campaign.
What to expect
- Response time: usually within a day or two. If it is longer, it is not because I do not care. It is because one person is running this.
- Legal advice: I do not give it. I will tell you what I did, what worked, and what did not. I will point you at the statute. You read it.
- Privacy: I will not share what you send me without your explicit written OK. If you want to publish on PHOP under your own name, great. If you want to publish anonymously, great. If you want me to just read it and write you back, also great.
- What I cannot do: represent you, call people on your behalf, show up at your court date, or file paperwork for you. If somebody tells you they can do all those things for $450/hr, be very careful.
If you want to help build this
PHOP is brand new. It needs: other parents willing to write their stories down, volunteers who know law in states that are not Florida, designers who want to make the site look even better, anybody with a spare hour and a working conscience. Write in with what you would like to contribute.
